In cross-hatching method, the price of the device is cheaper and the speed is higher, but it is used for smooth surfaces with a limited thickness of about 125µm

The push-off method is a relatively fast and ideal process for curved surfaces, but the high force exerted by its gauge can deform thin surfaces and is more commonly used in pipelines and metal spray coatings.
