What is a pressure transmitter ? A pressure transmitter is one of the most widely used precision equipments in controlling and monitoring various industrial processes. In addition to being used to control pressure and display its values, this tool can be used as a transmitter of liquid level values in tanks and also in differential models, which is called pressure difference transmitter, in flow monitoring and control.
These equipments are offered in cheap pen models as well as Smart models with Hart or Profibus protocol. The pressure transmitter uses various mechanisms to accurately measure the pressure, which is mentioned in the slope data or technical information of the equipment, although most models of the strain gauge type are used in the sensor element of the transmitter. Another issue is the accuracy of these devices, which in ordinary models is up to half a percent and in advanced transmitters or laboratory precision up to twenty-five percent or more.
