Sensor Cable

To transmit the sensor signal and connect the display or controller to the sensor, the sensor power supply also requires a cable with standard specifications in accordance with the sensor application. Usually, two wires are used to power the sensor and two to five wires are used for its outputs, which are available in standard colors of brown, red, blue, etc. In special cases, sensors require more than 5 wires for the desired function and output.

Usually, the strands of the sensor cable are covered with foil and shield to prevent environmental noise, and the corresponding cables are also called screen cables.

In many cases, there is a suitable socket and connector at the end of the cable, such as M8 or M12, etc., to connect to the sensor in a female manner.
