Insulation Tester
nsulation test or so-called Migr helps us to measure the resistance between insulators, which should usually be high strength. These equipments can measure very high resistances by applying constant and very high voltage to the insulation under test and measuring the current passing through the equipment. Instruments used for insulation are used in many applications due to their lightness and portability.
Insulation tester is also used to measure high resistances and is usually used to evaluate the quality of insulation at high voltages. Other uses for insulation testers include measuring the resistance of motor and cable windings and other insulation materials, or testing electrical switches of about megawatts. Measures can also be used to measure resistance between each phase and ground.
