Ultrasonic Sensor

Ultrasonic sensor is another non-contact and proximity sensor or pragmsit. It is used in various applications of object detection to measure distance or level measurement. Normally, ultrasonic sensors act as a transistor by sending a short sound pulse at the ultrasonic frequency to a target that reflects this pulse and receive and detect these waves, and in models that calculate the distance, by measuring the time difference. Pulse receivers can be turned into a rangefinder.

Ultrasonic sensors can be found in the market in various forms and for different applications. Sensors with different installation methods, configuration, IP and different frequencies. Selecting the appropriate ultrasonic sensor for the intended application requires attention to the following:

 

  1. Accuracy and resolution of ultrasonic sensors
  2. Detection or measurement distance of ultrasonic sensor
  3. Operating temperature range of ultrasonic sensor
  4. Ultrasonic sensor operating frequency or wavelength
  5. Existence of noise or turbulence in the target or measurement environment of the ultrasonic sensor
  6. How to install and limit or obstruct the front of the ultrasonic sensor
