Hydraulic Motor
The hydraulic motor is a mechanical actuator that converts hydraulic pressure and flow into torque and angular displacement. In fact, a hydraulic motor is equivalent to a cylinder or hydraulic jack in rotational motion.
Theoretically, according to the definition and mechanism of a hydraulic pump of a hydraulic motor, these two will be interchangeable with each other, just as a direct current electric motor must be interchangeable with an electric alternator, but with the opposite function. In practice, the replacement of the two is not for reasons such as the designed pressure on both sides of the engine and the reverse performance.
The following is a general overview of common model names.
Hydraulic Gear Motors : 1- Hydraulic Gear Motor 2- Epicyclic Gear Motor
Hydraulic Vane Motors : Balanced Vane Motor
Hydraulic Piston Motors : 1- Axial Piston Motor 2- Radial Piston Motor
Part-turn Actuators : 1- Rotary Actuator 2- Rack and Pinion Actuator
